Pink in Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Breast Cancer Awareness Month is organized thanks to the cooperation between national public service organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies. This international health campaign aims at increasing breast cancer awareness, educating people about the cause, prevention and cure along with raising funds for further researches on this field. Most meaningfully, the occasion provides those suffer from breast cancer with information and financial support.


On the 25th anniversary in October, 2010, The Breast Cancer Awareness Month stays within the targets on reminding women worldwide about their own breast health. The recommendations for women this October are practicing regular self-breast exams to identify any changes, scheduling regular visits and annual mammograms with their healthcare provider, adhering to prescribed treatment, and knowing the facts about recurrence.
